The Nebraska Horse Club Association held their monthly board meeting on Monday, April 12, at the Workforce Development Office in Grand Island. Present were Vicki Pflasterer, Rob Ebel, Monnie Fischer, Jaci Behlen, John Bachelor, Joni Ebel, Rosemary Johns, Amye Lilenthal and Cher Scoville.
A motion was made by Joni to approve the minutes from the last meeting and seconded by Cher. 
The Treasurer's report was not available and will be emailed to all board members.
The show schedule was discussed:
NHCA BENEFIT SHOW FOR BETH HOERLE - The show will be held on May 2, at the Posse Arena in Grand Island. All proceeds will help Beth with her with expenses following an accident. The show bill will be posted on the web site.
NHCA ICE BREAKER SHOW - The Icebreaker show to be held May 28,29 & 30 in Columbus was discussed. Due to the added expenses that Ag Park Arena in Columbus is requesting, a new location is being considered. Some of the other locations are Madison, Wahoo, Fremont, Norfolk, Grand Island and York. The availability and costs of the other locations will be considered. The new location will be posted on the web site and emailed to all members. Please watch close for the changes. 
NHCA 4D BARREL RUN - The board agreed to a double added money Barrel Run to be held on June 12 at St Paul. The proceeds will go the the NHCA for year end awards. Any individual or business wishing to help sponsor the run may contact a board member.

SHERRIFFS POSSE HNCA SHOW - PENDING Aug 13 & 14, Grand Island
NHCA JAMBOREE - PENDING Aug 15, Grand Island
WEB SITE - The advertising on our web site was disucussed. $120 will purchase an ad on the main web site page and the event page, for one year.
$75 will purchase and ad on two pages located on the web site for one year.
The site is ready for the ads and may be placed by individuals or businesses. Contact Cher for further information.
A NHCA Spotlight page will also be posted on the web site. This page will contain information on our members and their achievements. We would like all members to send in information on their achievements and are not limited to horse related achievements. If you partcipate in other school or summer actvities and would like to brag, just turn it in to Cher. (Baseball, Softball, basketball, football, speech, spelling, essay contests, art or any other activity.  Pictures welcome!)
RULE BOOK - The rule book is ready for printing and will be available on the web site or at the first show in May.
FUNDRAISERS - 
Three fund raisers will be sponsored by the NHCA.

Raffle to be held at the May show. Tickets will be sold at the show to be held in May at the price of $1 each or 6/$5. 1/2 of the items will be raffeled on Saturday and 1/2 on Sunday. Must be present to win. All items are to be donated (including one from each board member) and may be brought to the show or given to a board member prior to the show.
Joni made motiong to adjourn the meeting and Cher seconded it.
